~8:20 am today in Naperville, N-bound on Naper Blvd, just S of 55th St, a late-model Black Bentley Cabriolet, softtop up, 3 middle-age commuters on board, with the guy in the back seat staring slack-jawwed at my GT-R for 30 secs as we sat at a light. LOL.

LOTS of beautiful eye (and ear and nose) candy at "Supercar Saturday" in Glenview on May 2:
~10 Lambos (including Diablos, Gallardos, and Murcielagos, plus 2 Countachs, and even an LM002 "Rambo Lambo"; ~8 assorted Ferraris, old and new, from a 308 and a 328 through 599 GTB's and a very sweet black F430 Scuderia; 3 Maseratis (1 Gran Sport and 2 Gran Turismos); Many Porsches (from Cayman S, through 911, 911T, GT3, Ruf Turbo, and a Carrera GT); A gorgeous jet black Audi R8 (V8); 2 GT-Rs (CajunGodzilla and gashero); Couple of BMW M's; A beautiful white Bentley; A sweet red Ford GT; ~5 Vipers, incuding 1 ACR; A batch of hot Vettes; Several tweaked Camaros; A Shelby Mustang; Some very tricked-out WRX's, STi's, and an Evo; Various other 4-wheel oddities; Plus a few 2-wheel beauties, including 2 Suzuki Hayabusa's, 2 Ducati 1098's, and some nice Harley's. Jeremy was there for a while taking some pics; so hopefully he'll post them. This event is scheduled to occur the first Sat of each month from May through Oct (with rain-outs being rescheduled for the 2nd Sat). You can find info and pre-register for parking at SupercarSaturdays.com. Check it out, as it was nicely organized and executed, and occurs in a nice setting.

Forgot to mention, Sat, May 2 at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL, during the running of the One Lap of America, in additon to the many heavily-modified competition cars with which you could get up-close and personal (GT-R, GT2, Z06, CTS-V, M3, STi, WRX, Evo, Shelby, etc.) there were some interesting spectator cars, of which my fav was:
cherry red, 1952 Jaguar XK120 fixed-head coupe. It brought back memories, as when I was growing up, my uncle had a 1951 XK120 roadster. The "120" referred to the top speed in mph; and believe it or not, when it came out in 1949, it was the World's Fastest production car. (Though I wouldn't want to try that, after looking at the skinny tires.)

I had a nice spotting today:
'30s Duesenberg Roadster in Park Ridge, IL on Devon. Absolutely beautiful and stunning car. Also yellow Gallardo on the Kennedy Exp. heading outbound from city.
